When
Devin was approached by the Gangsta Outlaws to join their Chicago street gang,
he refused. He had an engineering scholarship to attend college and get out of
the inner city. Before he could leave for school, the gang shot up his family's
home, killing Devin's mother and sister. Devin was injured, but only because
his megapower to deflect attacks manifested.
When he recovered from
his wounds, Devin moved in with his grandmother and began attending college part-time.
He began constructing gadgets and devices to help him in his quest for vengeance
on the gang. Devin made himself a costume and adopted the identity of D-Flex.
When his attacks on gang members drew the attention of O.M.N.I. Force,
Devin put aside his anger and joined the group. |
