Vance
designed and constructed an experimental radiation battlesuit for the U.S. government.
When he tried it out, he became obsessed with the power it gave him, and stole
it for himself. He later built a device called the transformatron that let him
bestow radiation powers on some of his colleagues (see Fusion, Quantum and Neutrino). |

The battlesuit he designed
allows the wearer to fly, fire bolts of radiation at different intensities (stunning
to lethal), and surround himself in a radioactive force field which recycles
the wearer's oxygen supply and withstand extreme pressure, temperature and radiation.
The battlesuit can absorb energy and rechannel it to its radiation bolts, flight,
or force field, and also increases the wearer's strength, reflexes, and resistance
to physical and energy damage. It has built in radar and X-ray vision. |
